AMD Ryzen 5000 series prices start from ₹22,990

AMD launched its latest Ryzen 5000 series of desktop processors last month. The new 5000 series processors are built on the new Zen 3 architecture  based on the 7nm architecture. A total of four new processors were launched and now we have the official pricing of these new AMD Ryzen 5000 lineup.As per AMD India, the new Ryzen 5 5600X would be priced at ₹22,990, the Ryzen 7 5800X at ₹34,490, the Ryzen 9 5900X at ₹41,990, and Ryzen 9 5950X at ₹60,990. These prices are excluding taxes, which means that there will be an additional GST of 18% charged by retailers.

The low-tier Ryzen 5 5600X comes with 6-cores, 12-threads and peak clock speed of 4.6Ghz. Where as the mid-tier Ryzen 7 5800X comes with 8-cores , 16-threads and a peak clock speed of 4.7GHz. Moving on to top-tier, the series is led by Ryzen 9 5950X which is claimed to be the fastest gaming processor with highest single-thread and multi-core performance. It comes with 16 cores and 32 threads with peak clock speed of 4.9GHz. The second most power processor in the series is the Ryzen 9 5900X which has 12-cores and 24-threads and peal clock speed of4.8Ghz. It is 26% faster than the previous gen in gaming performance and 19% faster in instruction per cycle(IPC). It is also said to be 7% faster than the Intel Core i9-10900K

The new Zen 3 architecture is mainly on the arrangement to cores and cache, it is supported by old 3rrd gen motherboards with a BIOS update. Although it is recommended to use a 5000 series motherboard for better performance. Coming to power drawn by each processor, the 5800X, 5900X, and the 5950X are all rated at 105W TDP. The 5600X, on other hand, is rated at 65W TDP.
