Google services are back after being down for a while

Multiple Google services and websites including YouTube, Gmail, Meet, and Google Docs were down for about an hour on Monday morning after being hit with global outage. Users faced problems with all Google services, and were not able to access Gmail, YouTube and Google Docs for sometime. User started to use Twitter and hastage “#YouTubeDOWN” to trend after users couldn’t access Google’s basic services.

Google’s Workspace Status Dashboard showed an outage for all services appear of the company. Red denotes indicates services are outraged and green denotes function is fully functional. Google had biggest outage and all services were in red but thankfully all services are now green indicating that they’re fully operational.

The world’s dependence on Google services is so high that, services go down, billion of users are impacted. That’s because Gmail, YouTube have more than a billion users on a monthly basis. The issue was a worldwide problem and even users in India reported inability to access Google services. Many users reported seeing a 503 error when they tried to login to their Gmail account while others saw a 500 error when they try to login. Some users said they were able to use YouTube when they used an incognito browser without signing in.

Some users also reported that Google Assistant was also facing issues. Third-party apps and services that use Google’s back end services, like Pokémon Go, were also hit by problems.

Thankfully all google services are back now!
